More Details on Gomez on Forbes Rich List
Here are the full details of Forbes's profile on Gomez Addams.
It may be worth noting this the below would not be accurate by movie cannon, where Fester is Gomez's older brother.
#12 Addams, Gomez
Net Worth: $2.0 billion
Source: Inheritance, Investing
Age: 51
Marital Status: Married
Hometown: Westfield, N.J.
Education: Astin School of Law, J.D.
Descendant of Castilian royalty and British aristocrats owes fortune to quirky--and lucky--investment style: bought a swamp for "scenic value," subsequently discovered massive oil deposit underneath; purchased mummified hand at flea market, later determined to be priceless remains of Egyptian pharaoh. Extensive holdings include insurance company, salt mine, tombstone factory, buzzard farm. Known for eccentric behavior, including affinity for sword fighting, Halloween tradition of bobbing for live crabs. Doesn't like to write checks for odd amounts; always rounds up. Passionate collector of toy trains: once bought a railroad simply so he could crash real steam engines. Reportedly spends a thousand dollars a week on cigars.

Remote Control Hand
Hello, everyone!
Sorry for the lack of updates this last month. There has been both a surprising lack of Addams Family news since Halloween, and an excess of busyness on my part.
Anyway, I'm back to post up some of the most interesting of my mailbox full of Addams Family google alerts. Starting with this beauty: A Remote Control Hand, looking very Thing-inspired. Of course, the ring and top black thing are obvious distinctions from our beloved hand.
Details:
A larger than lifesize 23cm robotic hand which appears to have a life of its own, just like 'Thing' from the Addams Family. The supple rubber 'skin' gives it a life-like quality as it walks forward. The remote control is a simple on/off device, but it allows the hand to be brought to life surreptitiously, surprising the unsuspecting - great fun!
* 23cm
* Creepy crawling motion
* Requires 3x'AA' batteriesand 1x'9v' battery
You can buy it here

Goth rockers Jessicka Fodera and Christian Hejnal Change Names to Addams
JESSICKA and Christian had decided that once married, they would both lose their family names and start afresh. After considering Bubblestorm, Awesome, Applebottom and Deathblow, they settled on Addams, an homage to the macabre TV family. "It was time for a new bloodline," Jessicka said with a shrug. "Plus, the name Addams just fits well, like an old goth T-shirt."

The Addams Family Water Ski Show
This month is so full of Addams Family events that it's difficult to keep up with them all. As always, if anyone managed to attend, they are welcome to send photos/stories of the occasion in to be posted here.
"The Addams Family Water Ski Show: They're creepy and they're kooky, mysterious and spooky. They're the Tampa Bay Water Ski Show Team, a talented bunch of water skiers who build pyramids and perform tricks at 40 mph.
On Saturday at 7:30 p.m., they'll be presenting their rendition of the 1960s television show, The Addams Family. The plot revolves around a sance by Addams family and friends to call back Uncle Fester, who disappeared during Hurricane Ester. The guest list includes vampires, black cats, Captain Jack Sparrow and the Witches of Eastwick.
The free show takes place at Tower Lake near the Oldsmar Flea Market. From Tampa Road, take Racetrack Road north to Douglas. Turn left. The ski site entrance is at the second dirt drive on the left. For information call Lisa Schmidt at (727) 480-9365 or Vickie Wilmouth at (813) 265-9685 or visit tampawaterski.com"

Waterford, Ireland: Addams Family Reunion Party
"Neat, sweet and petite they ’aint... Traffik DJs Lurch (Louis), Morticia (Zoe) and Gomez (Tommy) are about to be visited by all their long-lost eccentric, bizarre and just plain grotesque relatives...that means you, weirdo!"
"There’s great prizes on the night for the most inventive and original characters and costumes so if you always fancied yourself as a member of the McAddams Family, Gomez’s Hillbilly cousins, now’s your chance. Maybe you model yourself on Dear old Uncle Lobotomy, who holds the record for balancing the most place settings on one’s person, or even Aunt Hill (we have no desire to comment on her, lest we get infested). Rising to the grisly occasion, the Forum staff will decorate the venue in a cobweb-infested style Mama would relish.
So get a witches shawl on, a broomstick you can crawl on, go and pay a call on the Addams Family Reunion at Traffik this Saturday night. Doors open at 11.30pm and admission is •10."

mensflair: "[Gomez is the]character to impersonate for the man of style"
mensflair.com recommends that the well-dressed man consider going as Gomez Addams this Halloween.
"A contemporary character to impersonate for the man of style might be Gomez Addams from the Addams Family. The dapper gentleman from the comedy series was frequently seen wearing a cravat, a velvet smoking jacket, or perhaps a natty striped suit, and had his dark hair slicked back. There was a feint air of the Count about him, but he was less of an animal than Dracula, and due to the comedic milieu of the Addams family, is probably easier to impersonate with a sardonic smile."

The Addams Family will "be dropping in" at Halloween Spooktacular in Cardiff, Wales.

IF you think that the BBC National Orchestra of Wales is about stuffy performances in posh concert halls then you’re wrong.
Our Halloween Spooktacular event next week will be one of those special nights out that all the family can enjoy."

Addams Family VS The Munsters by Mick LaSalle
The death of Yvonne De Carlo earlier this week makes us more aware than ever of the cultural divide facing this nation. Specifically, there are two types of people. "Addams Family" people and "Munsters" people.
We all know this. Moreover, we can usually guess, after five minutes, if a person is a "Munsters" person or an "Addams Family" person.
"Addams Family" people tend to be left-of-center, culturally elitist, college educated, somewhat counter-culture and strident in their opinions.
"Munsters" people tend to be forthright, honest, ingenuous, engaging and open to other opinions. They also tend to have had happier childhoods.
"Addams Family" people tend to defend their choice based on their appreciation of the concept of the show. They like the idea of it. They like it for its commentary on the family, for its artistic statement, for what they consider to be its avant-garde quality. They also like the theme song (which everybody likes). Furthermore, men of a certain age reached adolescence with a serious thing for Morticia.
"The Munsters" people tend to defend their choice based on their appreciation of certain episodes and by their enthusiasm for Fred Gwynne. They argue that Gwynne was far and away the most talented actor in either series. Some also have nice things to say about Grandpa. Moreover, most have seen a "Munsters" episode more recently than their counterparts have seen an "Addams Family" episode. (The movies don't count.)
For myself, I have always preferred "The Munsters," though just about every woman I've ever been attracted to has preferred "The Addams Family." This means something. I just don't know what.

Script (with omitted scenes - complete)
The script of the 1991 movie - with scenes that weren't in the movie!
sample:
"MORTICIA
Just as long as we're together,
n'est pas, mon cher?
As she turns to Gomez, we see the interior of the bungalow
-- all ersatz cowboy and Indian mixed with chrome-plated
plastic and orange shag carpet.
GOMEZ
sits slumped in a chair made from wagon wheel and nauga-
hyde. It's as if all of his insane, vibrant energy has
been leeched from him. He's a broken man. He looks back
at her as if he's never heard French.
GOMEZ
Huh?
Wednesday tends to him. She and her mother exchange a
worried look.
PUGSLEY
comes from the bathroom, nibbling a wrapped bar of motel
soap.
PUGSLEY
This place isn't so bad. They even
put candy in the bathroom.
MORTICIA
That's the soap, dear.
PUGSLEY
Oh.
He takes another greedy bite.
Wednesday pats her father's arm.
WEDNESDAY
Do you want a cigar, Father?
GOMEZ
(in a monotone)
They're very bad for you.
WEDNESDAY
(very worried)
Father?
Wednesday exchanges a panic-stricken look with Morticia.
The family moves closer to Gomez.
GOMEZ
But maybe I'll have one of those...
He takes a bar of soap from Pugsley. Gomez unwraps it
and morosely eats."
